Dear Wessex Community,

As we reach the end of another busy and productive week, it is encouraging to see the first signs of the weather beginning to improve. Nevertheless, we continue to remain vigilant in ensuring that our children stay warm, dry and safe, taking every necessary precaution during the winter season.

Tuesday saw our whole-school Colour Day, with pupils enthusiastically taking part to help raise funds for our Senior 6. Thank you to everyone who supported this initiative and helped make it such a success.

Our Senior 6 pupils have also had a particularly busy week. They delivered their MITOK presentations, and I was delighted by the high standard of preparation and the confidence they demonstrated. It was evident that they had invested significant time and effort into producing work of which they could be proud. On Wednesday, they also had the opportunity to visit the Universidad San Sebastián, providing another valuable step as they continue to prepare for life beyond Wessex.

Our senior volleyball teams represented the school against Kingston on Wednesday, demonstrating commitment, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout their fixtures.

Meanwhile, our Infant School delighted families with its annual Winter Concert. It was wonderful to see our youngest pupils perform with such confidence, enthusiasm and joy, creating a memorable celebration for everyone who attended.

We also enjoyed our Friday jornadas and assemblies, including a very special Senior Assembly. During this occasion, we proudly presented our Generation 2026 ties to our Senior 6 pupils, marking an important milestone in their final year at Wessex. We also officially invested our appointed prefects, presenting them with their badges of office as they continue their leadership responsibilities within our school community. Congratulations to each of them.

It has certainly been a busy week, but one filled with learning, achievement and opportunities to celebrate our pupils.

I wish all members of our Wessex community a safe, restful and enjoyable weekend, and I look forward to welcoming everyone back next week.

Kind regards,
